bio
Hi my name is Neil but most people call me by my last name Morgan, hence @elmorgantattoo. I began Handpoke tattooing in 2019 and 3 years later I expanded to using a tattoo machine, a huge development in my journey.
I’m English but I’ve spent the majority of my career living and working in a small surf town in Mexico, I had two shops and a private studio during my time there. I’ve recently decided to leave my life behind in Mexico, to expand on what I’ve learnt there and now work in Europe.
Over the years, I've honed my craft, experimented with different styles, and pushed my creative boundaries. However, I’ve always found comfort in minimalism.
Delving into minimalism challenged me to distill my designs to their essence, focusing on clean lines, negative space, and subtle details. This shift not only refined my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of the power of simplicity through creating art on skin.
I found that many followers of my work resonated with the idea of less being more, seeking tattoos that reduce a drawing to its bare minimum. It pushed me to evolve, grow, and ultimately become the artist I am today — constantly seeking beauty in the simplicity of a single line.
I'm really drawn to tattooing hands (I’ve done many!!)—it's where I can truly let my creativity flow without using stencils, turning someones hand into a unique piece of art. Being such a prominent part of your body, I feel honoured that people allow to transform them.
